Julie Chen Moonves is the host of the 22nd season, premiering on CBS on August 5, 2018. Chen Moonves served as moderator, and was one of the first hosts on The Talk. Prior to that, she was the CBS Morning News anchor and the host of The Early Show. She was dispatched to Cairo in the aftermath of 9/11, and she conducted an intimate and fascinating interview with the father of the principal terrorist who took over the world. Chen Moonves is a journalist who has worked with newsmakers like the former New York City City Mayor Rudy Giuliani. Queen Rania as well as former Defense Secretary William Cohen and Denzel Washington. Chen Moonves reported on the Emmy award-winning CBS Sunday Morning program.
